The workshop shall be accomplished through oral presentations, panel discussions and posters. There will also be excursions to selected horticultural production and scenic sites within Tharaka-Nithi and Embu Counties. The structure of the workshop shall be as follows:

  • Oral papers, panel discussions, posters & exhibitions

Nov, 30th 2016

  • Oral papers, posters & exhibitions
  • Official closing of the workshop

  • Field day and Excursion

  • Field day and Excursion

On the first day of the workshop, participants will be provided with books of abstracts having a comprehensive program for the workshop.

The workshop language is English.


Facilities and space for exhibiting technologies and products from the horticultural sector will be provided. Workshop participants will therefore have an opportunity to interact with private sector industry players for information exchange.
